Hey Saddle Creek,
With summer coming to a close and school starting, the Board has made a decision to open the pool for daily usage during the original time posted at the pavilion. The honor system will be used in the manner that a signed waiver and release will be on file with the Board for use of the pool. There will no longer be a gatekeeper to check in. We also request following the CDC guidelines as posted at the pool and on the website. We will still be operating at 50% capacity, which means no more than 36 people at one time.
The pavilion will still be out of commission for reservations. Please provide your own seating at the pool.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation during this strange situation. Should you not have a waiver/release on file, please do not hesitate to contact the Board and we can make arrangements.
We recognize the wonderful job of Hanna Wixon, Ward Deeb, Jansen Shulse and Adan Deeb for their time and effort of opening and maintaining the pool. We wish them the best for a successful and healthy semester.
Please contact the Board with any suggestions, concerns or kudos at hoaboard@saddlecreekcstx.org

Hello Saddle Creek Homeowners:
We are aware that many of you are anxious for our community pool to reopen. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, our board has consulted with public health officials, our local government, our attorney and insurance company to determine whether it is appropriate to open our pool at this time. We do not take this situation or our duties to you, the homeowners, lightly. At this time, we do have a plan in place to open our pool.
As we move forward with further consideration, in order for you to gain access to the pool, you and any other members of your home over the age of eighteen (18) must sign the attached liability waiver and release, which can also be found on the Saddle Creek HOA website. https://saddlecreekcstx.org Additionally, anyone who utilizes our community pool and pool facilities must adhere to the following guidelines:
- Social distancing measures by CDC must be followed;
- Only immediate families of residents are allowed to use the pool. No outside guests or visitors are allowed in the pool or pool facilities;Children under fourteen (14) must be accompanied by an adult resident at all times;
- No group events or birthday parties are allowed in the pool or pool facilities;
- All residents must adhere to reduced pool occupancy numbers. Shallow pool – 4 children, front pool – 20 people, back pool – 12 people. Total of 36 occupants inside the fence at a time.
- The use of the pool is based on a first come, first serve basis. We ask that you and your family respect others in the community and limit your time to 2 hours in the pool if individuals are waiting to enter.
- Each family will be given a PIN for check-in at the pool when delivering the waiver. No PIN, no entrance.
- All pool furniture will be removed. You may bring your own chairs.
- There will be no lost and found. All items left will be disposed of.
- Hours of operation will be limited to 10am to 2pm & 4pm to 7pm, Thursday – Sunday.
Waivers and family PIN will be processed at the Pavilion Friday and Saturday morning from 9:00-10:30. Opening date of the pool will be July 2nd. We are excited that we have been able to arrive at a solution for Saddle Creek to enjoy the pool. In reference to this, we want to be good stewards of our community in safety as well as the operating funds. We are doing everything we can to help minimize the liability for our community. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

June 2, 2020 – Update on Saddle Creek Pool ~ right now with restrictions still in place, and after much research, we feel it is not feasible to open the pool and be able to maintain the required guidelines set by the Governor and CDC. We are falling in line with other area subdivisions in College Station, such as Castle Gate and Creek Meadows. We really want the pool to be open, but here are the major drawbacks right now:
- Monitoring the number at the pool to 25% for a total of 18 people at one time.
- Baby pool – 2 kiddos
- Front pool – 10 people
- Back pool – 6 people
- Providing signage concerning Covid-19, cleaning supplies for guests and pool area, and pool cleaning every 2 hours with partially staffed monitoring would be a cost burden on the HOA of about $700/week until the end of the restrictions. Two hours is the recommended limit for attending the pool, monitoring for distance, wearing a mask when not in the pool, clearance of the pool for cleaning (chairs, handrails, bathrooms, etc.) before the next two-hour shift is a huge task.
- Liability factor for the HOA prevents the pool from being open now due to all HOA insurance policies exclude coverage for illness caused by a bacteria and/or virus. The insurance liability is reason enough for HOAs to have their pools closed. In our research, there is no other type of insurance to cover the Covid-19 situation.
We have been communicating with other subdivisions and keeping up with the latest from the CDC and Brazos County Health Department on the progress of public pools opening. We have been working hard to have the necessary repairs and equipment ready for regular summer usage. Hopefully with the warmer weather and more positive information on the virus, we can open soon! We want to open soon! The BOD appreciates and thanks everyone for their patience and understanding.
