Saddle Creek 6th Annual
Independence Day Celebration
NOTE: Late start this year, since the 4th falls on a Sunday, we wanted to give everyone the opportunity to attend church services & grab lunch before the parades begin.
12:30-12:55 p.m. Parade line-up for both parades (Children’s parade in front) on High Meadow & receive entry numbers.
1:00 p.m. Children’s parade (babies-6 years) Strollers, tricycles, small bikes, motorized vehicles, wagons, etc. Parade route: Corner of High Meadow to circle drive at pavilion…come & cheer for the kids!
1:15 p.m. Parade begins!! We welcome all golf carts, bicycles, ATV’s, scooters, etc. to join us with your best patriotic decorations & costumes…for “kids” of all ages! Parade route: travels from High Meadow past pavilion on Saddle Creek Dr. & goes to Stirrup Dr. before returning to the pavilion.
1:45 p.m. Awards for parades will be given out at the pavilion
In the afternoon:
- Our favorite Ice Cream truck that will be driving through the neighborhood selling cold treats for kids of all ages! Street Sweets will accept cards for purchases over $5.
- Cool off & enjoy the pools and pavilion with your family
Evening:
- Come early & pick a good spot to watch the fireworks with your family
- 7:30-8:15 p.m. Homemade Ice Cream contest at the pavilion-bring your best recipe
- Dark-thirty (8:30-9:00p.m.)-the best fireworks show in the Brazos Valley!
*No personal fireworks or pets permitted
Want to get involved? We are hoping for help with:
- Donations for prizes for parades and ice cream contest (cash or gif cards of any amount)
- Judges for children’s parade, big parade (12:30 PM – 2:30 PM) and ice cream contest (7:30 PM – 8:30 PM) on July 4th
- Help with setup/decorations (Sunday morning 7/4 at 8:00 AM)
- Adults for clean-up crew supervision and help (Monday morning at 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM)
- 5 – 6 teens to help with cleanup (paid position)
